Theatrical Interest

Rare pink base enamel patch box of theatrical interest.  The lid has a hand-coloured transfer print of a couple in front of a thatched cottage with the writing underneath; 'Harvest Home - Act last Sc. last'.  Bilston C1780.  Original internal polished steel mirror.  NB: This box is taken from a print of a popular play of its time in the late 18th Century.
